Summary: If you have ever stayed in a government-run place before then you probably already know what to expect. It’s basic but functional. I will say that the restaurant has a lot to be desired! First night I had the meatloaf (which I ordered bc I thought would be hard to mess up). I ate 1/3 of it before I gave up. It was cold and not very good. I gave them another shot for breakfast on a morning that I didn’t have too leave early. Got biscuits and gravy which was flour on flour on flour. This was my last meal there.

Summary: I'm always on the lookout for hidden gems when it comes to hotels. And this could be one added to my list. Location is terrific. Only a few minutes off the 119, or a leisurely drive through the State Park, this hotel offers more than ample accommodation and dining opportunity. Ideal for hikers and those seeking trail adventures, the Lodge is more than adequate to meet your needs. Pleasant staff and very clean.

Summary: The lodge is getting older, with maintenance working on replacing some siding, trim outside,and just age related general repairs. My room was exceptionally clean and comfortable and the Lodge has a relaxing atmosphere, while all staff are welcoming and friendly. I consider it a great place to stay, especially for visitors who enjoy 4- wheeling the Hatfield-McCoy Trails
